The film is loosely based on Dr. Kashi Nath Singh’s popular Hindi novel Kashi Ka Assi, a satire on the commercialisation of the pilgrimage city, and fake gurus who lure the foreign tourists.

Interesting Fact – The film was banned by CBFC as the film contains a heavy use of abusive language and some derogate references to Hindu deities. However, a preview copy of the film was leaked online by the film producers itself and after 6 years has finally been released.

We Say: Shame there was too much politics involved in a simple movie like this when there are far more filthy films released without such censoring, Jism 2 anyone??? Always enjoy a Sunny Paji film, he makes a cute and cuddly character in almost any movie he’s in even with his ‘dhai kilo ka haath’!
